Description
Western bowl featuring a hand painted work of art. This is a unique one-of-a-kind piece. Southwestern wooden dough bowls are authentic native bowls made by the Tarahumara Indians of Creel, Chihuahua, Mexico. Wooden dough bowls or trenchers are carved by hand from native yellow pine and begin as a piece of a downed tree trunk. The Tarahumara Indian log bowls are made by splitting the trunk in half lengthwise then rough cut with an axe. The carved wooden dough bowls are shaped and further worked with a machete or large knife.
The unique character of primitive bowls, stained or painted, add a sense of rustic beauty and add a perfect touch to log homes, cabins and cottages as well as any western ranch or country decor.
This carved wooden dough bowl with hand painted art measures 9.75" wide by 23.25" long.
Actual bowl is shown.
Native Handcrafted, Tribe: Tarahumara
