Native American Drums -One Sided
Native American one sided drums are shaman style hand drums with rawhide stretched over one side on the drum and laced on the back. The lacing pattern has the medicine wheel design according to the four cardinal directions of Earth and forms a natural hand hold for drumming. This style helps the drummer by allowing them to manipulate the drum sounds by touching the under side of the drum head.
Created by hand, one sided hoop drums and frame drums are made with a variety of hides including got, deer, elk, buffalo, moose and horse. Each drum comes with a drum beater. Drun makers include Apache,Tarahumara, Shoshone, Navajo, Cherokee, Pueblo and Sioux. From small 10" drums to large 20", you will love the quality and sound of one sided Native American drums.
