Southwestern pottery lamps are unique lamps made with Tarahumara Indian pottery for rustic lighting and southwestern or western decorating. Perfect as a desk or table lamp for southwest lighting, it is made by hand. Decorated with real rawhide, the result is a charming, one-of-a-kind rustic lamp. The unique tri-pod base is fashioned from pine branches, wrought iron and rawhide lace.

Southwest style pottery lamps made with Tarahumara Indian pottery is artfully created by the age-old coil and pinch method. Rolls of natural clay are painstakingly coiled to form the shape of the vessel and polished with a smooth piece of wood. The Firing takes place in an open pit fire adding additional character through colorization changes. Some pieces will even have scorch marks from the fire.
