This Talavera pottery hand painted wedding vase is one of the outstanding ceramics of southern Mexico. With intricate floral patterns and brilliant colors, Talavera ceramic pottery is beautiful and adds life to any setting. 

This Talavera wedding vase is a classic example of those used by Native American during the wedding ceremony.  According to traditon the vase is given to the couple as a gift and used to signify the joining of the husband and wife in marriage.  During the ceremony, the two would drink at the same time from each of the two spouts.
