- Handcrafted Navajo Style Cobra Basket 21" (mp2)
Description
This is a southwest Indian style hand woven basket in the popular olla shape, perfect for rustic home decorating. The Indian technique of basket making using the coil method is generations old. Handed down from each passing generation the art is preserved. The Hopi, pueblo, and Navajo Indians were famous for their baskets and it was said that their small coiled baskets were woven so tightly that they could hold water.
Native American style baskets with classic colors and designs are popular for southwest decor as well as western ranch decor. These traditional baskets are made by hand, artfully woven to form unique patterns just like those seen carried on a woman's head in the early days. Decorative baskets are great for cabin, lodge or ranch style and for your special rustic or Native American room.
Measures approximately 21" wide, 21" tall. Actual basket is shown.
