16" Shaman Hand Drum -Native American Drum-One Sided
Native American Shaman drums of the famous Tarahumara Indians are Native American drums fashioned by hand. The Tarahumara are said to be north americas most primitive people, inhabiting caves and cliff dwellings.
This 16" diameter hand drum is by far the most popular hoop drum we offer and a favorite size for personal drumming, meditation and drumming circles. The intermediate size allows for increased sound quality and can still be played with one hand holding it by the lacing on the back. Because of its intermediate size, it is also specially suited for women or young people being able to be comfortably held for drumming.
The shaman hand drum is a piece of native yellow pine bent into the shape of the drum. Rawhide is stretched over one side, completely covering the drum ring to form a sturdy hand drum laced toward the four directions of the earth and forming a good hand hold on the back. All Native American cultures use drums and these shaman drums are perfect for drumming, rustic decor and as a canvas for art projects. Fast Shipping & A FREE Drum Beater Included!
