Tarahumara Indian Ceremonial Gourd Rattle 9" (148)
This is a natural gourd rattle made by the Tarahumara Indians. This gourd shaker is used during the Semana Santa festival. The handle is a simple piece of native pine and the shaker has been created by cutting the end of the gourd off and capping it with the end of the gourd. These are authentic primitive Tarahumara rattles ready for music, dance, or meditation and drumming circles. These ceremonial rattles are not hard to make but are rare to find. Also makes a great conversation piece or decoration for rustic southwest style, western decor or art projects. Each gourd rattle is unique.
