In the past, I purchased a rawhide shade for a floor lamp and have been very happy with it. I have kept it oiled, as required and it has lasted years. I expect this shade to be the same. I really like the way the light filters through the shade, giving me a bit more light than the darker shade we had previously on the SW style table lamp we have. I purchased a 100W LED light, because this particular lamp is turned on a good part of the day, every day. This shade is actually elegantly rustic!
