This stunning wedding vase is traditional Cocucha pottery from Michoacan, Mexico. Handmade using a mixure of water, sand and volcanic ash clay, then fired over an open charcol fire, this rustic wedding vase is exceptional.
Traditional Cocucha pottery is made by the Purepeche Indians of Cocucho, Michoacan. This pottery art form was taught to the Purepeche people by Catholic monks almost 300 years ago, and the indigenous communities continue to practice this art till today.
This wedding vase is perfect for rustic western and southwest home decorating, and is great to display in any room or hacienda style home.
