Description

This wedding vase is a high-quality piece of authentic Native American, Navajo pottery. This Navajo pottery uses real horsehair during the firing process to decorate the rustic vase. It is also etched and features a woven dreamcatcher on the front.

The artist throws the pieces of horsehair onto the pottery, at just the right time, causing it to stick and melt into the piece. This allows a permanent application of the horsehair to the pot and yields the famous look that collectors enjoy. Each piece is unique; no two are exactly alike. This wedding vase features a hand etched turtle, the symbol of good luck.

The wedding vase is a very special part of American Indian culture. The parents of a couple to be married will make or purchase a wedding vase for the couple. The vase will be used during the ceremony and then kept for the rest of their lives as a symbol of their love and unity.

This piece is perfect for any southwest style, western decor or cabin. It also makes a great special gift.

Actual wedding vase is shown, measures approx. 6.75" tall, 5" wide.
