Native American Wedding Vases
Native American wedding vases are a reflection of the rich history and culture of Native American of the southwest. The traditional wedding vase symbolizes the union of the man and woman with its two spouts. During the Native wedding ceremony, the couple will drink from the wedding vase at the same time.
The parents will provide the wedding vase, often at great expense or by making it themselves and offering it to the couple as an acknowledgment of their support of the marriage. The couple will keep the vase as a symbol of their commitment to each other.
Wedding vases have become very special wedding gifts for non-Natives as well and are appreciated for the various colors and shapes. For decorative use, wedding vases will not hold liquid.
