This vase is a high-quality piece of authentic Native American, etched Navajo pottery. This unique piece of pottery has the traditional color bands, with hand etched symbols and real horsehair. 

During the firing process, the artist throws pieces of horsehair onto the pottery, at just the right time, causing it to stick and melt into the piece. This allows a permanent application of the horsehair to the vase and yields the famous look that collectors enjoy. Each piece is unique; no two are alike.
