Description

This handcrafted horsehair wedding vase is a beautiful expression of Southwestern artistry and Native American tradition. Inspired by the traditional wedding vase, its twin spouts symbolize the bride and groom, while the connecting handle represents the union of two lives joined together as one. During wedding ceremonies, the couple traditionally drinks from the vase simultaneously to celebrate love, trust, and lifelong commitment.

The artists use real horsehair during the firing process to decorate it. Horsehair is thrown onto the pottery at just the right time, causing it to stick and melt into the hot clay. This causes a permanent application of the horsehair to the pot.

The piece is also hand etched to yield the famous look that collectors enjoy. This piece is perfect for any southwest style, western or cabin decor and makes a great gift.

Measures approximately 4.5" wide, 5" tall.

Authentic Native American, Tribe: Acoma, Artist: Gary Yellow Corn
