Etched Horse Hair Vase -Humming Bird (3bc214)

This vase is a high quality piece of authentic horse hair pottery with intricate hand etching.

This unique vase uses real horse hair during the firing process. The artist throws the pieces of horse hair onto the pottery at just the right time to cause it to stick and melt into the clay. A practice made famous in Navajo horse hair pottery. This causes a permanent application of the horse hair to the pot and yields the famous look that everyone loves. Each piece is unique, no two are exactly alike.

This vase is also hand tooled and painted to create a unique decorative piece perfect for any southwest style, western décor, cabin or Native style. Actual vase is shown, measures 7.5" tall, 5" wide.
