Product Description

This is an authentic Native American Pueblo Indian antique style ceremonial double trail headdress (shown on a wall bracket above). This decorative halo warbonnet style head dress with double trailer is beautifully hand made with real feathers and has a classic look with genuine coyote fur and tails, gold deer skin, intricate beadwork and red wool.

Made using real feathers, each quill is hand stitched into the deer skin.  Using traditional forehead beading, this headdress is a classic design like that worn by Chiefs such as Sitting Bull. It's crowning feature is the traditional double trail of feathers stitched into rich red wool and gold deerskin. This is one of our finest war bonnets, is absolutely stunning, and can be worn or displayed.

Warbonnets are no doubt one of the most popular Native American icons from American Indian history. Used by various Plains Indian Tribes, the most notable being the Sioux, Crow, Blackfeet and Cheyenne. Native warbonnets often appear in historic photography as being reserved for formal occasions. The halo style warbonnet has feathers that fan out around the head of the wearer creating the halo shape.

This head dress was created with soft deer skin leather and is adorned with a band of hand stitched beading across the forehead. The beading, along with the leather circle dotted feathers add to the rich and vibrant look. This beautifully handcrafted war bonnet will look great on any wall for southwest, western, or cabin decor. Measures approximately 72" tall, 28" wide. (Wall bracket display sold separately)
