This beautiful necklace is authentic Native American jewelry made by Navajo Indian artist, Verna Nez. Verna works in the Four Corners area near Shiprock, making jewelry. Verna learned the craft from her mother but didn't begin to make jewelry until later in life when she desired to move off of the reservation. Her jewelry is now her only source of income. She enjoys making jewelry and has in turn taught her daughter who specializes in bead work.
