Tarahumara Indian Mask Violin -Multicolor (tv4a)
Native American instruments are interesting and Tarahumara Indian violins are a most find in such primitive people's culture. If you or someone you know loves music or violins in particular, a Tarahumara Indian violin would be an appreciated collector's item.
A part of their traditional ceremonies, violins were introduce by the Spanish missionaries in the 1600's. Each violin is made using simple hand tools and local woods. While not to be compared with fine violins, these have real violin strings, and horse hair bow and can actually be played just as the Tarahumara play them during their festival dances. They are rustic instruments with imperfections. This violin features a traditional carved goat head scroll. Measures approx. 21", Bow is included.
