American Indian Tohono O'odham Basket -Yucca & Gourd (mp1)This is a southwest Tohono O'odham Indian basket. This basket was made according to the O'odham tradition using both light and dark green fibers from the yucca plant. This Native technique of basket making is generations old. This Indian basket has a very unique base as the yucca has been woven onto the bottom of a gourd. Made completely by hand, and artfully woven to form unique patterns this authentic American Indian basket is a treasure. Handwoven baskets are great for cabin, lodge or log home or for your special rustic or Native American room. Measures 5" dia. 3" tall
