Nash Tavewa, is an outstanding Native Zapotec Indian artist and musician. Nash specialized in many things musical, pre-Columbian style clay flutes, drums and shaker rattles to create artifacts that are works of art. When working to create any of his pieces, Nash is conscious to combine the rich culture of the Zapotec people with own personality for each one. Nash Tavewa is a familiar figure at local pow wows of the Chumash Indians of coastal California.
