This is an authentic Native American choker breast plate made by the Laguna Pueblo Indians displayed on a genuine antler for wall decor. A beautiful American Indian breast plate, this is made completely by hand using bone piping, beads and leather. 

This beautiful Pueblo Indian breast plate is made according to Native American tradition can be worn or displayed in your Indian art collection and is very well made. This warrior breastplate is hand made using genuine bone hair pipes with soft leather spacers and fringe. It also has a shell disk adornment on the front, coned fringe and prayer feathers.

Traditionally, hair pipe bones were expensive and hard to find so the number of bone rows in the breast plate was a sign of the warrior's wealth or status. Called a warrior's breast plate and intended as armor, American Indians wore them in battle, but they were mostly decorative, used for ceremonies or medicine.

Breast plates made by Native Americans make great wall decor for rustic home or office decoration for southwest, Native American decor or western ranch, log home or cabin.
