This is an authentic southwest Native American pottery vase made by hand with natural clay and hand etched images with traditional patterns and colors of the Pueblo Indians. The Aoma are famous for creating beautiful pottery that has been highly desired by collectors. The art of pottery making is passed down from each generation with a rich heritage from Grand parents to Grand children in the same family who want to see their their traditional skills continued.
This piece is a traditional clay pottery horse hair design, made famous by Native American potters. Actual horse hair is applied to the pottery during firing and becomes a part of the piece. Intricate patterns are then hand etched without the use of patterns or templates. This is a perfect rustic home accent for southwest decor as well as a special gift. Actual piece is shown, measures 13" wide, 13" tall.
Authentic Native American, Tribe: Acoma
