Emergency assistance is becoming a critical issue. It is impossible not to feel for our people who suffer from mal-nutrition. It is a horrible thing to see the sores on their bodies and to realize that they have little or no money or food to eat. |

Maria Rosa, an Indian lady, who put her faith in Christ through our mission, is displaying hand woven belts which she sells to help support her family. We supplied the yarn she used. |

Maria Rosa and her children are among our most faithful and needy people. She lives in a small stone and wood structure that resembles a stable. They have no running water, or electricity and it rains and snows through their roof. The children sleep on the dirt floor on pieces of old cardboard boxes. Their diet consists mainly of beans and hand-made tortillas, when they have flour or corn. Her husband Selso, has a terrible drinking problem and often leaves home for weeks at a time. He provides no financial benefit to the family and both Maria Rosa and the children often suffer physical abuse. She can earn the equivalent of one US dollar for her belts, of which about 50 cents would go toward materials. Please pray for her and her children.
UPDATE: With your help, the Mission Del Rey installed a new roof for this Family : ) |

Most all of our people need help occasionally, but some are very often desperate. In our Lord's ministry, He was sensitive to the physical needs of those who were under His teaching. On various occasions, He miraculously fed His followers, and all were satisfied. We would like to see our people's needs met as well, and we desire that God would use us to that end.
Could you have a part, as we follow the Lord's example? We praise Him, for friends who have come along side to help us in this need. As Americans, it is relatively easy for us to make a difference. A large sack of beans, rice, flour, corn-flour, and a case of cooking oil and more, can be purchased in Mexico for about $100.00. The Mission Del Rey is an Arizona non-profit organization, and donations are tax deductible. We don't want to support their families. They have put their faith in God, and by His grace, He is allowing us to have a part in proving His faithfulness to them.
This is such an important need. The major employer in our pueblo, a saw mill, was unable to pay its workers and has been closed after 50 years of operation. This impacts our whole economy. Several of our people have had to get by on very little. There is a real need for clothing as well. With winter temperatures below zero, food and warm clothing are essential. If you have good used clothing, especially for children, it would be greatly appreciated. Used clothing articles can be shipped to our mail-drop in El Paso, Texas. We want to share much more in the future, but please help as you can. |
